Callaway Golf Company and its employees are working to help the San Diego County community rebuild from the devastation caused by the wildfires burning in and around the area. Today, the Callaway Golf Company Foundation committed to sending a $50,000 cash grant to be divided among six local organizations that are responding directly to the disaster. The Foundation has also committed to matching individual employee donations up to $5,000 each made to one of those six organizations.

The six organizations that will be receiving assistance from the Callaway Golf Foundation and from employee contributions are: The American Red Cross San Diego and Imperial Counties Chapter; the San Diego Blood Bank; the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA; Volunteer San Diego; International Association of Fire Fighters Local 145; and the San Diego Police Officers Association.

The Callaway Golf Company Foundation's commitment to match employee donations up to $5,000 will be in effect through the end of November. Callaway Golf is also allowing its employees to donate the value of accrued paid time off, which the Company will match dollar-for-dollar. In addition, Callaway Golf's Community Giving (CG2) program is coordinating employee volunteer programs with relief organizations and is collecting blankets and clothing for fire victims on-site at Company headquarters.

“The employees of Callaway Golf have always displayed great civic responsibility, both through monthly charitable activities and donations in times of great crisis, like the 9/11 terrorist attacks,” said Ron Drapeau, Chairman and CEO of Callaway Golf. “In this spirit, many of our employees have expressed a strong desire to help our neighbors who have been impacted by these devastating fires, including the fire and police personnel who have risked their lives working so hard on everyone's behalf.”
