The report drew concern from investors, but officials say the figure no longer accurately assesses future business as more sales come via its direct-to-consumer channels.

Increase in season-pass revenue at Vail Resorts Inc. for its fiscal full year 2016, alongside a 18.5 percent boost in skier visits. The overall mountain revenue reported for the fiscal year ended July 31 was up 18.2 percent to $1.3 billion. Part of those gains included the company’s first full year of its recently added Perisher Resort in Australia.

Walbrecht was in his position at Mountain Hardwear for seven months before announcing a jump to Black Diamond, effective October 3.

Former Gart Bros. Co-Owner Kent Gart sold the business that became part of the now-defunct Sports Authority portfolio. Gart spoke at the annual Outdoor Industry Association Rendezvous event in Denver on September 28, criticizing the retailer’s leadership before it went bankrupt earlier this year. He added that other big-box stores are at risk.
