Bushnell Outdoor Products, the maker of sports optics and hunting and shooting-related accessories, promoted Blake Lipham to president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Blake Lipham came to Bushnell Outdoor Products in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to President in 2008. 

“Blake has done an outstanding job in leading the company through a difficult economic environment over the last two years as President of Bushnell” said Robert L. Caulk, chairman of the board of directors for Bushnell and an advisor to MidOcean Partners, the private equity firm that acquired Bushnell in 2007. “Since coming to Bushnell in 2007 and throughout his tenure as President, Blake has worked tirelessly to develop an aggressive strategic growth plan, build a world class management team, improve service, and drive company innovation. The Board of Directors is enthusiastic about the future of Bushnell and we want to congratulate Blake on his new position.”

Prior to Bushnell, Blake was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Union Corrugating Company and he also worked at Procter & Gamble, The Home Depot and Home Depot Installed Products.  He has a BA in economics from Yale University and an MBA from The Babcock School at Wake Forest University.  Blake, his wife, and two children live in Overland Park, Kansas.
