Burton this week announced that it will open a new retail store on lower Main Street in Park City, UT. The store plans to open in the fall and will feature Burton’s collection of snowboards, boots, bindings, outerwear and layering as well as year-round apparel and bags.
“We’re so excited to be a part of the Park City community, and our new Burton store will have a lot to offer both locals and visitors,” said Josh Fisher, territory business manager of Burton. “Park City shares Burton’s love of the mountains and the outdoors, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to our new spot right in the heart of town.”
As part of the grand opening, the new Burton store will donate five percent of proceeds during the first week of operations to the Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) Park City, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting winter sports activities for youth in Summit and Wasatch counties.
“The YSA and Burton share many common core values,” said Emily Fisher, executive director of YSA. “The introduction and involvement in snowsports to youth is a great parallel that we are both able to foster. We’re thrilled to be able to partner with Burton on the opening of their store in Park City.”
Vail Resorts Retail (VRR), the retail division of Vail Resorts, has been chosen by Burton to operate the store. VRR has entered into a long-term lease on the 2,260-square-foot space, formally occupied by The Cabin which is relocating to a larger space, and will now begin the building permit application process with the Town of Park City to begin construction on the interior space.
