Buff USA named Brad Werntz as its director of sales beginning Jan. 13, 2014. Werntz founded Pemba Serves, Inc., a Midwest sales representative agency, which has worked with a plethora of outdoor brands since its founding in 1991, including Petzl, Moonstone, Mountain Hardware, Montrail, Vasque, Patagonia Footwear, Ambler Mountain Works, Gregory, Cloudveil, Blurr and Atlas Snowshoes.

 

An avid climber, Werntz is also the founder of Boulders Climbing Gym in Madison, WI.
 
“I’m really looking forward to being able to focus my experience in the outdoor industry on a dynamic, growing brand like Buff,” said Werntz. “I’ve long admired the direction and energy of the company and look forward to helping Buff set and achieve new goals.”
 
Given his success and enthusiasm in the outdoor world, Werntz’s effective managerial methods have become a source of inspiration among the outdoor community. Often asked to present on his theories of organizational structure for the independent representative, Werntz has spoken at several events including Outdoor Retailer, Outdoor Industry Association’s Rendezvous and at Outdoor University. 
 
As director of sales, Werntz will work from his home in Madison, WI and will be responsible for the overall leadership of Buff USA’s sales department.
