Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has secured retail financing options with three financial institutions: U.S. Bank, Sheffield Financial in the United States and TD Canada Trust in Canada.

With these agreements, BRP's North American dealers who currently carry Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft and sport boats, Evinrude outboard engines and Can-Am ATVs and Spyder roadsters can offer consumers competitive retail financing options.

“We saw the pressure our dealer network faced with retail financing and acted swiftly to support them,” said Roch Lambert, vice president – general manager, North American Sales & Marketing, Ski-Doo/Sea-Doo/Evinrude. “The need for retail financing and providing our dealers with the best resources in obtaining retail credit has been our number one priority. We have been able to leverage our relationships with key lending institutions in order to negotiate favourable rates and services for our dealers,” he added.

In the United States, U.S. Bank is the sixth largest commercial bank in the country and Sheffield Financial, whose parent organization is Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T), is the eleventh.

Both are now available to dealers and are prepared to lend money to consumers who wish to purchase recreational motorized products. U.S. Bank's Recreation Finance division offers retail financing on Sea-Doo watercraft, sport boats, and Evinrude outboard engines.

In Canada, TD Canada Trust has an agreement with BRP to provide lending on certain BRP products through approved dealers.

“There is no reason a consumer should refrain from shopping for a recreational product because they think it cannot be financed,” declared Yves Leduc, vice president – general manager, North American Sales & Marketing Can-Am and After-Sales Operations. “Our dealerships are well stocked and supported with the proper financing resources and buying incentives to get the consumer their desired BRP product,” he stated.
