Brooks Sports, Inc.'s revenues grew 17.5% to more than $170 million in 2007. Sales rose 20% domestically and in excess of 19% internationally. Additionally, the running brand delivered operating earnings that were up 39%.

Brooks conducted 76% of its domestic business in the specialty running channel.  Also, at-once fill-in order trends increased 21% domestically last year.


The company also said in its first year operating under the Brooks Sports umbrella, Moving Comfort saw domestic sales revenue jump 18%. Moving Comfort shipped more than 700,000 sports bras in the U.S. in 2007; and the brand experienced a 30% increase in sports bras invoiced relative to 2006.


As of March 9, Brooks’ backlogs were up 24%, led by an international gain of 42%.  Worldwide future order backlog for Brooks and Moving Comfort combined were up 18% compared to the previous year.
