Breg, Inc., a provider of sports medicine products and services, hired Benjamin Hutson has vice president of operations.

Hutson brings more than 20 years of experience in medical device and biotech logistics to Breg, including a background in lean manufacturing processes and integration associated with acquisitions. As vice president of operations, Hutson will spearhead the strategic development and execution of Breg’s manufacturing operations and supply chain functions.

“Ben has demonstrated success in achieving high quality and excellent customer service, while also delivering low cost manufacturing,” said Brad Lee, president and CEO of Breg. “He will be an important resource for Breg as we further leverage value from recent acquisitions and manage the extensive supply chains associated with our growing orthopedic practice solutions.”

Currently, Breg features a portfolio of premier bracing and cold therapy brands, as well as consulting and billing services instrumental to supporting its client’s orthopedic practices. Breg has more than doubled its revenues in the last three years and expects to continue to grow well ahead of the market.

“I am extremely excited to join Breg,” said Hutson. “I will be intently focused on bringing the voice of the customer into every aspect of the operations organization. Our goal is to elevate service levels, making it easy for our customers to do business with us.”

Prior to joining Breg, Hutson led global operations at Microport Orthopedics following the company’s acquisition of Wright Medical’s knee and hip franchise. He also has served in leadership roles at contract sterilization provider Sterigenics International and Smith & Nephew’s biologics/spine and trauma divisions
