Bolio's Sporting Goods in Wallingford, CT, has closed after nearly 40 years in business. According to the Meriden Record-Journal, the store was hurt by big-box competition and a difficult economy.
Owner Robert McCarthy bought the business from founders David and Tina Bolio in 1997.
