The Body Glove family will be honoring the life of co-founder Bob Meistrell with a paddle-out ceremony to be held south of the Redondo Pier in Redondo Beach, CA on Sept. 15, 2013 at 9 a.m.
The event will be followed by a reception at the Seaside Lagoon, a long time favorite spot of Bob's, hosted by the Meistrell family from 11am until 3pm.

As reported, Meistrell in June died at the age of 84, reportedly from a heart attack Sunday while on his boat near Catalina Island.
Body Glove, which will celebrate its 60th anniversary this fall, was co-founded with Meistrell's twin brother, Bill who died in 2006 at the age of 77. Both earn credit for helping develop in the 1950s the first neoprene wetsuit, at the time using insulating material from the back of refrigerators.
