Boathouse Sports, the Philadelphia-based manufacturer of custom athletic team apparel, announced that seven of the 20 collegiate teams competing at the 2013 USA Sevens CRC in Philadelphia on June 1-2 at PPL Park, will be wearing uniforms made at its northeast Philadelphia factory.

Boathouse will be outfitting the defending and two-time champion Dartmouth Mens Rugby team as well as teams from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Delaware, the University of Notre Dame, Temple University and St. Josephs University. The cadets of West Point will also be taking to the pitch in custom designed Boathouse Astro shorts.

This is our third year in the rugby business and it is very meaningful for us to have this level of representation at the highest level of the sport, said Doug Tibbetts, President of Boathouse Sports.  It is a great honor for us to be outfitting four of the local rugby teams and the two-time defending champions Dartmouth.

Boathouse garnered nationwide attention in the rugby market over the past two years with the Dartmouth Mens Rugby team capturing both the 2011 and 2012 USA Sevens Collegiate Rugby Championships wearing custom Boathouse sublimated uniforms and gear.

Based in the city of Philadelphia since its inception in 1985, where it manufactures over 95 percent of its products, Boathouse has earned an exclusive customer base of schools, universities and teams.
