Takeover talks for Blacks Leisure, which operates the Millets and Blacks Outdoor chains in the U.K., have fallen through. GO Outdoors, Cotswold Outdoors and Sport Direct were all mentioned as potential bidders, according to reports in the British press.
Discussions opened in October regarding the sale of all or part of the company in October last year. But Blacks Leisure said in a statement that its board determined that none of the offers were “sufficiently compelling to pursue further in the context of the continued success of the company's turnaround program.”
