Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC) is pleased to announce that Peter Metcalf, President and CEO of Black Diamond, Inc., will present as keynote speaker at its 3rd annual Outdoor Retailer Winter Market (ORWM) Keynote and Awards Presentation.

Metcalf will discuss his experience leading one of fastest-growing, most-respected outdoor gear and apparel makers in the world.  At the core of Metcalf’s leadership philosophy, however, is a strong company ethos that puts as much value on the style in which goals are accomplished as it does on the actual achievement of those goal.

“Peter is a thought leader around employee retention, business sustainability, and what makes a great company,” said Deanne Buck, Executive Director of OIWC. “We are honored to have the opportunity to provide a platform for him to share his expertise with the industry leaders and influencers who attend ORWM.”

In addition to Metcalf’s presentation, the event will also include the presentation of the 2014 Pioneering Woman Award and First Ascent Award for Outdoor to the two award recipients. Previous winners of these awards include Kim Walker of Outdoor Divas, Karen T’Kint of PrAna and Sally McCoy of CamelBak, among others. The breakfast and awards presentation will take place from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. on Day 3, Friday, January 24 at the Marriott Hotel, Salons F-I and is free and open to all tradeshow attendees.
