HEAD USA has announced the appointment of veteran winter sports marketing executive Michael Bisner to the position of marketing director for HEAD/ Tyrolia Winter Sports, effective May 11, 2005.

“With Michael at the helm, we have the opportunity to accelerate the growth of the HEAD brand in both with the specialty dealer base and among all stakeholders in the winter sports marketing and communications community” said Robert Langlois, Vice President of HEAD/ Tyrolia Winter Sports. “Michael’s stellar reputation precedes him, and we look forward to benefiting from his expansive skill set and relationships within the industry.”

Michael Bisner brings extensive sports marketing expertise to HEAD. Prior to his appointment, he was owner of an independent sales and marketing consulting firm, advising start-up sporting goods businesses in product development, brand creation, positioning and marketing. Before opening his own firm, Bisner was brand manager at Nordica USA, marketing manager at Salomon North America, and vice-president/general merchandise manager of The Ski Market, a Boston-based specialty sports retailer.

Bisner will be responsible for leading the marketing and business management efforts for the HEAD/ Tyrolia U.S. Wintersports division. “HEAD has exponential growth potential in the U.S. I’m thrilled with the prospect of leveraging the heritage of the HEAD Wintersports brand through solid marketing and communications that will help grow the entire winter sports segment.”
