BioLite, the manufacturer of off-grid renewable energy solutions, reported it will drop a rechargeable, palm-sized AlpenGlow Mini portable lighting solution.

The lantern, about a slider size, weighs 98g in four lighting modes. For example, the “Warm White Mode” uses ChromaReal LEDs for broad-spectrum lighting, rendering color accuracy and removing harsh blue tones that are practical for nighttime cooking and photography. Users can also opt from a range of “Single Color Modes,” one of which is a red light for nighttime vision. Finally, AlpenGlow Mini includes “Horizon Mode,” a blended color series that cycles slowly to soothe or speed up with the push of a button.

AlpenGlow Mini also includes tactical features, with an integrated “bungee strap” system for affixing the light where it’s needed most. Use the bungee loop to hang from hooks or open branches or the node closure to secure the device to poles, bags or other objects.

Finally, the USB-C charging ensures you can recharge the lantern at camp using the cable you have on hand, eliminating the need to carry multiple cords.

“These lanterns will earn a spot in any camping pack thanks to just how much functionality they fit into such a small space,” said Erica Rosen, VP of marketing at BioLite. “Solid illumination, fun color modes, flexible setup, it’s all there. We’re thrilled to introduce these just before the holiday season and are confident it’s a stocking stuffer that will make people smile.”

The AlpenGlow Mini is available in four colors, expanding BioLite’s AlpenGlow lantern line. For more product information, go here.
