Big Rock Sports, LLC added Dave Tackett to its Fishing, Camping and Marine Division as senior programming manager. Tackett will focus on developing and implementing strategies to assist Big Rock’s growth in the freshwater markets and new categories.
With 19 years of experience, Tackett brings a comprehensive knowledge of the fishing tackle industry to Big Rock Sports. For the past four years, Tackett served as general manager at Pitman Creek Wholesale. Prior to that, he held the role of director of sales and marketing at Pitman Creek for seven years. Tackett also owned and managed a retail business for eight years, which, under his guidance, grew over 300 percent.
“We are very excited to have Dave Tackett join the Big Rock Sports team,” stated Dave Martin, President of the Fishing, Camping and Marine Division. “We believe his knowledge of the industry as well as his experience at both the wholesale and retail levels will be a tremendous asset that will help us provide best-in-class product assortments and programming to our dealers.”
Tackett holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky. He will continue to reside in Lexington, KY before eventually relocating to Big Rock’s home office in Graham, NC.
