Ed Small, CEO of Big Rock Sports, LLC and parent company Peak Global Holdings, hired David McCartney as president of Big Rock Sports with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the outdoor sporting goods distribution company.
He joins the executive team at the company’s home office in Graham, NC, reporting to Small.
With three decades of distribution experience, McCartney brings a comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations, pricing, supply chain, and inventory management to the position. His background spans retail operations and wholesale distribution focused on servicing small, independent retailers in the U.S. and Canada.
McCartney spent nearly 30 years with General Parts, Inc., now Advance Auto Parts, as president of its Carquest Division, managing the supply chain, which included 32 distribution centers in the U.S., three in Canada, and two in China.
