Bauer Hockey, a leading manufacturer of hockey equipment, has joined the “Movember” movement, partnering with the Movember Foundation — a global charity working to raise funds and awareness promoting healthier, happier and longer lives for men. During the month of November, millions will participate in the Movember campaign, showing support for men with prostate and testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity by growing moustaches.

Since 2003, millions have joined the Movember Foundation’s health movement, raising more than $676 million and funding over 1,000 projects through impact investments

“Movember is a fun way to show your support for men’s health, and it’s become a tradition in the hockey community,” said Rich Wuerthele, executive vice president at Bauer Hockey.  “We’re proud to partner with the Movember Foundation and our retailers to raise money that helps fund important research focusing on prostate cancer, mental health and much more.”

Based on its brand campaign “Own The Moment,” Bauer Hockey created “Own the Mo” t-shirts to be sold online and in-store at Total Hockey locations in the U.S., and at Pro Hockey Life in Canada.

Bauer Hockey and its two retail partners will donate a combined $10 to the Movember Foundation for every “Own the Mo” t-shirt sold. “Own the Mo” t-shirts will also be available at Bauer Hockey’s store in Burlington, MA.

“Over the years we’ve seen some epic moustaches both on and off the ice,” said Movember Canada Director of Community Engagement, Jesse Hayman. “The hockey community has always been such an incredible supporter, and we’re excited to have Bauer Hockey help us power the moustache even more this Movember.”
