Bass Pro Shops plans to open an Outpost in Tyler, TX, east of Dallas. The store will be in addition to the company’s expansion plans for the state, including new locations in Grand Prairie, Spring, and Odessa.
Upon completion of the Tyler store, Bass Pro Shops will have 18 stores in Texas.
“Texas has been so good to us, and we’re honored to have the opportunity to serve the great sportsmen and women throughout the state with genuine friendly, expert service,” said legendary angler, noted conservationist and Bass Pro Shops Founder Johnny Morris. “We look forward to helping outfit them for all their adventures across the great state of Texas and beyond.”
The new store will be located on Market Square Boulevard near the Village at Cumberland Park, south of Tyler. It will offer a wide selection of hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation gear, with inventory tailored to the region. The retail site is expected to open in the first half of 2025.
Like all Bass Pro Shops locations, the Outpost will build on the signature amenities that define Bass Pro Shops, combining retail with entertainment, outdoor education and conservation.
The store in Tyler will employ roughly 100 “outfitters,” many of whom will come from the local region.
