Bass Pro said concerns about possible wetland damage has stopped the
outdoor retailer from pursuing a store near Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Spokesman Larry Whiteley told the Press-Gazette that Bass Pro had “exploratory conversations” with a developer who wanted to bring in a Bass Pro to anchor the project near Lambeau Field.
“We were unaware of any wetland issue and have not and will not be in favor of doing anything to harm wetlands, wherever they might be,” Whiteley said.
Asked whether Bass Pro has dropped its interest in the project, Whitely said, “that's correct.”
