Bajío, the maker of blue-light filtering, sustainably-made, performance sunglasses manufactured to save the world’s saltwater flats and estuaries, has added four frames to its 2022 product line.
The new styles combine state-of-the-art frame and lens technology and represent four individual stories that have helped shape Bajio’s culture and community.
Bajío sells lightweight, bio-based nylon frames featuring proprietary Lapis lens technology. Its new fishable, eight-base unisex frames combine performance features, including a full-wrap design, wide temples and vented side shields that reduce glare off the water and overall light intrusion without fogging the lenses. The latest styles feature ergo-textured, no-slip rubber nose pads and temples, top and bottom proprietary sun ledges for light-blocking and internal flex hinges built into varying temple and frame sizes to fit all face shapes.
The latest fishing frames include four full-wrap frames made from plants, that are stronger and lighter than plastic frames. Features include 13 lens options, seven lens colors made from lightweight polycarbonate and six made from glass. Both offer anti-scratch properties and oleophobic coatings, making sunscreen and water easy to remove. Proprietary Lapis prescription lenses are also available. Each lens is designed for specific light conditions and environments for clarity.
“These are not your dad’s old fishing sunglasses,” said Al Perkinson, Founder, Bajio. “Our new styles combine Bajio’s frame technology with our state-of-the-art Lapis lens tech for optimal protection on the water. The new frame styles have a full wrap for ultimate light-blocking performance and offer the most protection possible from the sun. These styles are great for those needing eye protection from the sun after years on the water and those looking to significantly reduce blue light exposure.”
New styles include the Roca, Piedra, Vega and Palometa. For more product information, go here.
