Dutch fashion designer Pauline Van Dongen has created a radius backpack from a single piece of knitted fabric, which incorporates tiny solar power beads to enable the wearer to charge smart devices on the go.⊗
On the surface Van Dongen’s design is beautiful to look at. In all of her work, she includes solar cells that absorb energy. If the sun’s energy isn’t a selling point, her eye for technical gear is. And it’s the balance that defines her continued exploration into the marriage of fashion and technology.
