Portland, ME-based outdoor retail brand Flowfold has announced partnerships with two new sales agencies. Wasatch Reps will represent the Rocky Mountain Territory, including UT, WY, CO, and NM, and Everyday Adventure Reps (Bryan Duncan) will represent the Southwest Territory, including CA, AZ, and NV.

Youth athletes in 21 states will be playing TackleBar, a safer version of football, this season. Players wear a helmet, shoulder pads and a harness around their waists with two foam bars that sit on the lower back that requires players to learn proper tackling technique.

Outdoor Recreation A Large And Growing Percentage Of U.S. Economy

Outdoor recreation accounts for 2.2 percent of the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP), according to the final report by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) on the outputs from outdoor recreation. The final report also found that outdoor recreation contributes over $734 billion to total U.S. gross output, which is the total value of domestic goods and service produced by an industry.

Under Armour To Downsize 3 Percent Of Workforce

Under Armour Inc. said the company’s restructuring program will now cost more than the company previously expected, as the company plans to cut about 400 jobs, or about 3 percent of the company’s global workforce, by March. At the same time, the company raised the lower end of the fiscal 2018 earnings forecast.

Per terms of the agreement, Bass Pro Shops will retain title sponsorship of the FLW High School Fishing Opens. In addition to the title sponsorship, Bass Pro Shops will also receive exposure across all FLW platforms, including more than 260 tournaments and Expos.
