ASR will return this September 10th-12th with buyers and distributors from over 40 countries. The show management is reporting that hundreds of international buyers are pre-registered for ASR Marketplace including retailers spanning six continents.

“With the combination of Class@ASR and ASR into a full marketplace and an assembly of leading buyers from across the world, ASR is definitively the world’s must-attend for trend spotting and buying action sports, youth culture and emerging labels,” says Andy Tompkins, ASR Group Show Director.  “Exposure to this multi-national buying audience allows ASR to help brands become global in three business packed days”

“ASR is a great opportunity to get a good feel on what's happening in the California surf/skate lifestyle scene before the trends hit our area. It's also the best place to meet with sales managers in person,” says Deanne Gale, snowboard, soft goods and footwear buyer, for five Whistler Blackcomb stores. “This September we’re also looking to add new skate and surf brands to our stores’ brand mix while at ASR.”

“I believe ASR is the best opportunity for the buyers, shops and store owners, to see it all in one place,” says Cristian Lopez, Manager, Tigre's Surf Shop, Sayulita, Mexico. “I think, in such times as these, you need to be ahead of the competition by ensuring your costumers see the latest, newest products the market has to offer. Mexico has an incredible growing market for the action sport industry goods and ASR ensures that I will have what the Mexican costumer wants.”

Far from a regional event with only local reps, distributors make the trip to San Diego to bolster their brands presence worldwide.

“I have attended ASR for a number of years and feel that ASR is one of the most valuable and relevant tradeshows for our industry,” says Pieter Hulleman, who handles Distribution and Marketing for IPath in Norway, Denmark and Iceland. “ASR is rooted within the USA, it is where the sports originated and is one of the most important tradeshows for our industry.”
