Asics has signed a lease and moved into new offices at 179 Lincoln Street in downtown Boston. At 44,000 square feet, the space represents a slightly smaller location compared to its former Boston headquarters.

The Lincoln Street space, located a few blocks from South Station and near Interstates 90 and 93, was recently renovated in 2023 by owner Synergy, having previously been a shoe factory.

“We are so pleased with our new home at 179 Lincoln Street,” said Barbara Turner, chief administrative officer of Asics America, in a statement from Synergy. “The heritage and design of the building, coupled with modern amenities and LEED certification, makes this the ideal space and location for our business and Boston-based team members.”

“Asics’ decision to establish a presence at 179 Lincoln Street is a strong endorsement of both our building and the city,” said Dave Greaney, founder and CEO of Synergy. “We’re proud to welcome Asics to the portfolio and to represent this renowned brand in one of Boston’s most dynamic neighborhoods.”

Asics’ former office at 125 Summer Street, measuring 60,000 square feet, opened in 2018 and served as Asics’ first East Coast headquarters, complementing its U.S. headquarters in Irvine, CA, and aiding in recruitment. Called the Creation Studio, the Boston location was expected to support nearly 100 employees, including members of the product design, marketing and commerce teams. The Summer Street space featured 18,818 square feet of workspace, two showrooms and a café with a Japanese whisky bar and a branded green wall.

Asics recently reported that its Asics North America (ANA) region delivered its fifth consecutive quarter of growth within the wholesale channel in the first quarter of 2025, as management stated that it increased demand for products across the Performance Running, SportStyle and Core Performance sport categories. Net sales for the region, which comprises the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, increased 16.0 percent in local currencies (+18.3 percent reported) to $256.4 million (¥39,133 mm) in Q1.
