Asics North America appointed Kevin McHale as its new director of run specialty sales. In this role, McHale will manage the run specialty business and drive strategic brand initiatives with the key accounts across the channel.
“Kevin has an incredible track record and extensive experience within the Run Specialty channel,” said Richard Sullivan, EVP of category, sales and marketing at Asics North America. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the Asics family and have the utmost confidence in his strategic approach and expertise to amplify our brand in the run space and drive Asics forward in 2019 and beyond.”
McHale has nearly 13-years of experience in the footwear industry. Most recently, McHale held the position of Fleet Feet brand manager for New Balance, executing strategic plans for the run specialty channel. In that role, he also built and led strategic business plans for New Balance in collaboration with Fleet Feet, while simultaneously managing marketing, product lifecycle, operations and sales initiatives.

Asics also said it is unveiling a newly created Technical Representatives Program that will support McHale and his goal to elevate the run specialty category. Each of the reps will cover various regions nationwide. Their primary function will be to educate associates on key product launches, innovations and new technology as well as Asics’ brand heritage and history.
