Asics America Corp. has appointed Sean Mannion, formerly at Under Armour, as VP of sales.
He will oversee all commerce functions in the U.S.
“Sean is an incredible talent with extensive experience and expertise across our industry,” said Gene McCarthy, Asics America president and chief executive officer, in a statement. “This is a pivotal time for our brand and we are confident in Sean’s strategic approach and vision to drive our business forward in the U.S.”
Mannion was with Under armor for over 13 years. His last position was general manager and senior director of sales for Under Armour, managing footwear, apparel and accessories in the sporting goods, mall and family retail channels.
Previously, he was VP of sales for Saucony from May 2004 to May 2005 after beginning his career at Nike and becoming an account executive covering its Licensed Apparel business in the New England region.

Mannion will be based in Boston.
