This week, Ascent Protein announced a joint Veterans Day Partnership with Christian McCaffrey’s charity arm, 22 and 54 Together, to support U.S. Veterans.
From October 30 through today, Veterans Day, November 11, Ascent is donating 20 percent of all profits toward Patriot PAWS, a non-profit service organization dedicated to training service dogs to support veterans in their emotional and physical recovery.
As a thank you for customer support, Ascent included a limited-time-only blender bottle with each order, which sold out in the first few days of the promotion due to high demand and support for the initiative.
This is the second year that Ascent and McCaffrey have joined forces to support Patriot PAWS.
In 2019, the partnership raised enough money to support the training of a new Patriot PAWS puppy, shown lead photo, to help support veterans with physical and emotional recovery and to train a service dog for a vet in need. The puppy was named ‘Christian’ after McCaffrey.
“We are honored to partner with Christian McCaffrey’s charity 22 and 54 Together, to support Patriot PAWS for the second year as it continues to make a positive impact on the lives of veterans,” said Paul Vraciu, GM, Ascent. “We believe it is deeply important to give back to U.S. Veterans who risk so much for our freedoms and way of life. This is a small, but important thing we can do to return the favor.”
Christian McCaffrey has been an Ascent Athlete since 2019.
Earlier this year, Ascent partnered with McCaffrey’s charity to support and donate products to first responders in both North Carolina and his home state of Colorado as part of the COVID-19 response.
“We are extremely grateful that Ascent Protein and their amazing customers have joined together to make this generous donation possible again this year,” said Lori Stevens, executive director and founder of Patriot PAWS Service Dogs. “Together, with friends like Ascent Protein, we will continue to train and place these amazing, life-changing animals with the 50 disabled veterans waiting for a Patriot PAWS Service Dog.”
Patriot PAWS was founded in 2006 by professional dog trainer Lori Stevens. The organization’s Rockwall, TX campus houses and trains up to 35 dogs at a time with an additional 50-to-60 dogs trained at other locations. This year they have placed 24 service dogs with veterans in need to help them in their transition from military to civilian life.
