The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) announces that Elizabeth “Liz” Ogilvie, most recently with the World Fishing Network (WFN), is the new KeepAmericaFishin Director…

“Liz brings three important talents to KeepAmericaFishing: experience in strategic marketing, knowledge about the sportfishing industry and a real passion for fishing,” said ASA Vice President Gordon Robertson. “She understands how anglers think and how KeepAmericaFishing can be instrumental in uniting them into a more powerful force for ensuring that the sport they love is top of mind when federal and state policy decisions are made that impact recreational fishing. “

“I am pleased that I was selected for this position,” said Ogilvie. “As an ASA Communications Committee member and industry representative, I have watched KeepAmericaFishing grow from its inception and truly believe that the collective voices of American anglers are a powerful influence on many issues that impact fishing. It’s time to capitalize on this momentum and make positive changes for the fishing industry.”

Ogilvie spent four years on Trout Unlimited’s national staff working with corporate partners on fundraising and member outreach campaigns. During her tenure with the World Fishing Network, she coordinated the marketing strategy for the network’s television show line-up with a focus on social media.

Ogilvie has a master’s degree in nonprofit management with a concentration in digital communications from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor’s in Art History from Boston University.
