Arctic Edge LLC, North American distributors of 66ºNORTH, has hired marketing executive Karim Pine as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Pine will help build and support key accounts and hire and manage the sales team.
Karim Pine is the former promotions and marketing manager for CW-X (Wacoal Sports Science Corp) in New York City. Prior to joining CW-X, Pine was the running and cycling buyer at Paragon Sports in New York. He has over a decade of retail, sales and marketing experience in the outdoor business.
In his new position, Karim will direct a number of marketing and sales initiatives including the sales force, national and regional advertising and product development. Pine, a former Category 1 Road Cyclist and elite cross-country skier, will also spearhead 66ºNORTH's athlete/event sponsorship program.
“Karim will be instrumental in helping retailers discover what pockets of 66ºNORTH fans have known in the US for years,” notes CEO Sharon Prince.
