Anta Sports Products Ltd. , which acquired Amer Sports in March 2019, is exploring a sale of Precor, the fitness equipment maker, after receiving interest from buyers, according to a report from Bloomberg.
“The biggest sportswear maker in China is working with an adviser for a potential sale of the U.S. business that could fetch about $500 million” according to sources, the report said. A number of companies and private equity funds have shown preliminary interest.
Amer’s brands include Salomon, Arc’teryx, Peak Performance, Atomic, Suunto, Wilson and Precor.
