Legacy Paddlesports LLC announced that Andy Zimmerman has decided to leave the company to pursue other interests. Zimmerman was one of Legacy's original founders, when the company was created in 2006 and was later merged with Liquidlogic in 2007.
During Zimmerman's tenure, Legacy has introduced to paddling enthusiasts such innovations as the Ultimate tunnel hull, the XP crossover, and most recently the Versaboard. The heritage of innovation that began with the original idea of a company dedicated to extending the bounds of paddling will thrive under the stewardship of the team at Legacy — Bill Medlin, COO/interim CEO, Shane Benedict, VP – Design, Woody Callaway, VP – Marketing, Mike Hooks, VP – Sales, and Bryon Phillips, VP – Product Development.
The company said these veterans of the paddling community have been with Legacy since its founding and later combination with Liquidlogic, and will continue to carry out the day-to-day management of the company. The Legacy Paddlesports team will continue its efforts to expand the participation of and collaboration with all of Legacy's clients and customers to guide Legacy's future in the paddlesports market.
Legacy wished Zimmerman well in his new endeavors.
