American Skiing Company has named Jenna Prescott to the position of Vice President of Retail Operations. Prescott will assume responsibility of all retail, rental and repair operations for the Company's seven resorts and report directly to President and CEO B.J. Fair.
“This newly created position is part of our strategy to provide a quality retail experience at American Skiing Company resorts through superior guest service and a progressive selection of top ski and snowboard hard goods and apparel,” said Fair. “We expect that Jenna's operational talents and broad experience in industry retail, including her merchandising abilities, will help create that premier retail experience, and ultimately advance our goal of driving additional revenue and improving margins in our retail sector.”
Prescott brings to the position 24 years of experience in ski and snowboard retail operations. For the past 20 years, she served in various capacities in the Company's stores at Killington and Mount Snow, including as a manager, buyer and merchandising coordinator. Prior to this appointment, she was Vice President of retail, rental, repair and summer operations at Mount Snow.
“I am excited to join this seasoned management team and to seize the opportunities for American Skiing to lead the industry in retail,” said Prescott, who resides in Vermont and is a graduate of Lyndon State College where she concentrated her studies in Ski Resort Management.
