Amer Sports promoted Bill Kirchner to vice president and general manager – Americas. In his expanded role, Kirchner will be responsible for leading Amer Sports’ omni-channel execution in the Americas region. The Amer Sports portfolio includes the Wilson, DeMarini, Louisville Slugger, Salomon, Arc’teryx, Atomic, Suunto, Mavic and Enve brands.

Kirchner previously served as vice president sales – Americas for Amer Sports, where he led the go-to-market organization in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. “Bill has demonstrated an excellent ability to drive go-to-market strategy and commercial fundamentals,” said Amer Sports Chief Commercial Officer Michael White. “He has grown our business in the Americas substantially and profitably over the past few years.”

Kirchner is a 32-year veteran of Wilson Sporting Goods, where he most recently served as vice president – U.S. sales prior to his added responsibilities at parent company Amer Sports. Kirchner holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Villanova University.

“I am excited about the opportunity to lead our Americas omni-channel team and build on our momentum in the Americas. The sporting goods marketplace is changing rapidly due to the consumer’s purchase journey across traditional retail channels, on-line and our own brand stores. Setting up to succeed with the omni-channel consumer and building a winning culture within our organization are our top priorities,” said Kirchner.
