Amer Sports, the parent of Arc’teryx, Salomon and Wilson Sporting Goods, announced the promotion of Megan Porteous to the position of digital marketing director, Americas. In her new position, effective November 1, Porteous will oversee the company’s portfolio-wide transformation as an omnichannel marketing organization in the Americas region.

“Megan has been a key driving force of our continuously developing digital marketing operations since April 2016 and has been a central player in our omnichannel transformation, most recently as digital marketing manager, Americas,” said Armin Boehm, VP commercial and marketing for the Americas. “She has been instrumental in developing our digital capabilities, building a robust digital ecosystem, providing exceptional consumer experiences and driving consumer engagement. Megan has a strong track record in designing strategic roadmaps and delivering outstanding results. She is well known in Amer Sports globally for being one of the trailblazers taking our organization to new levels of professionalism. She is also well known for her excellent collaboration skills and passion for our brands and consumers.”

Porteous joined Amer Sports in 2016 and previously served as digital marketing manager. Prior to joining Amer Sports, Porteous served in digital and sports marketing leadership positions with brands and agencies including Oakley, Digital Royalty and Designer Protein. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Santa Clara University where she was a member of the 2005 NCAA Final Four women’s volleyball team. She is based in the Ogden, UT, office.
