Alterra Mountain Company has hired Amy Ohran as president and COO at Palisades Tahoe, Olympic Valley, CA. Ohran will reportedly be responsible for leading resort operations, planning, enhancing employee and guest experiences, building and strengthening community relationships and driving the resort’s profitability.
Ohran comes to the position with nearly 35 years of experience in the snow sports industry, much of the time spent in the Tahoe region. Most recently, Ohran was the VP and general manager of Northstar California. Before that, she held numerous roles over 20 years at Powdr, including two years as VP and general manager of Woodward Mountain Centers and eight years as president and general manager of Boreal Ridge Corp. Ohran also spent 16 years in various leadership roles at Mt. Bachelor, including director of staff and skier services and director of its ski and ride school.
