Allbirds opened a retail store and community center in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. It is the brand’s first store in Charlotte and the 36th store globally, with locations across North America, Asia and Europe.
The 2,964-square-foot space speaks to the brand’s sustainable focus, which has driven its development and use of natural materials in the replacement of petroleum-based synthetic fibers.
Store displays call attention to Merino wool, the Sugarcane tree and other natural materials that its products are made of. Customers can see the carbon footprint of each product—a hallmark of the brand’s approach to sustainability. The store also includes a nod to the local community’s wildlife, flora and fauna.
The store plans to host local events during the year in partnership with the South End community, and for those who have joined its Allgood Collective program.
The store is located at 100 West Worthington Avenue.
