Aleck, the maker of wireless helmet audio and communication systems, made key hires, including Simon de Gruchy as head of finance, Eric Kiner as head of product, with Morgan Kaufer and Krystel Caballo bringing marketing expertise to the brand.
Simon de Gruchy brings global finance expertise to the position, having led financial strategy at the legal services companies Carey Olsen and Ogier. “We’re pleased to welcome Simon to our leadership team,” said Stephen Catterson, founder and CEO of Aleck. “His invaluable experience in finance will be a great asset to our team as we embark on big plans for growth over the next couple of years.”
De Gruchy joins Catterson, VP of Sales Adam Janecka, COO Scott Goldhawk, and new Kiner to round out the company’s leadership team.
Eric Kiner joined Aleck in 2022, leading the design and development of Aleck’s hardware and app. Kiner came to Aleck with extensive product management experience in the audio field after working with Jabra, Ultimate Ears and Monster, and his expertise in software and application development.
Aleck’s marketing team is bolstered with new hires Kaufer and Caballo, leading the brand’s digital marketing and social media strategy.
