<span style="color: #808080;">Since 2015, Jones Snowboards Founder Jeremy Jones, pictured left, has awarded an annual grant to support ambitious backcountry snowboarders on an expedition in the U.S. mountain ranges.

For 2018, Jones Snowboards has teamed up with The American Alpine Club to announce two new grants to continue the original mission … encourage amateur backcountry snowboarders to explore the American wilderness by board.

<span style="color: #808080;">The two grants, the Jones Backcountry Adventure Grant and the Jones Live Like Liz Award will support multi-day splitboarding expeditions with a strong concentration on exploration and adventure. To enter, you must have a defined objective that focuses on a single descent/summit or a tour/traverse of a region in the U.S. mountains.

Each grant recipient will receive $1500 in cash plus a Jones splitboard, skins and backcountry touring backpack.

The Jones Live Like Liz Grant is open to female-only applicants and honors Liz Daley, pictured below, a Jones ambassador and aspiring mountain guide who died suddenly when she was caught in an avalanche in Argentina in 2014.

Applications are being excepted now through January 30, 2018.  Jeremy Jones, the Jones company and Jones brand managers will review each application and award the grants to the 2018 recipients.
