The CFO at adidas-Salomon AG hinted on Tuesday that the company expects stronger fourth quarter sales in sales in the U.S. fueled by higher third quarter orders. Chief Financial Officer Speaking at a conference in Frankfurt, CFO Robin Stalker said that the company also expects flat second quarter sales in the U.S.
The company is banking on new products that are just now being previewed by retailers. With Nike winning the LeBron James deal, and Foot Locker canceling adidas product, the company appears to be placing a lot of faith in the non-Trefoil classic product targeted to the mid-market channel.
Response has been very good to-date and retailers appear to be allocating o-t-b for the new product.
