Adidas entered into a multi-year sponsorship with The Prospect League, an elite Midwestern collegiate wood bat summer baseball league.
As the official provider of baseball gear for the Prospect League, Adidas will help raise the visibility and professionalism of the league.
The Prospect League said the partnership affords the Prospect League and its teams the opportunity to create a consistent, high-quality head-to-toe appearance, using the latest fashion and technology offered by the Adidas brand. The new look will also include Adidas-branded Prospect League merchandise, umpire hats and All-Star and Championship apparel.
“This league-wide partnership will help elevate the two brands as we display our dedication to quality in our summer collegiate program,” Prospect League Commissioner Bryan Wickline said. “With the help and expertise of Terre Haute REX owner, Bruce Rosselli, a former Olympian and U.S. National Team bobsledder, we’ve been able to partner with the Adidas national brand, again setting us apart from other summer leagues.”
“We are extremely excited to partner with a premier summer league like the Prospect League,” Brent Meyer, Director of Team Sales for Adidas said. “We look forward to a great future as we continue to bring world class products to baseball.”
“Our players and fans will now be able to wear first-class Adidas products branded with the Prospect League logo,” Wickline added. “We couldn’t be more eager for our season to begin on May 27.”
The Prospect League provides college players with the opportunity to compete at a high-level of competition in a minor-league setting. This season, the Prospect League will have 12 teams competing in a seven state region: Indiana, Illinois, New York, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
