Addaday, a massage tool brand in run specialty, added the 10,000m American Record Holder Molly Huddle to its team.
As Huddle trains for her marathon debut at the New York City Marathon in November, she has dedicated extra time to procovery and recovery routines with Addaday’s massage tools to account for the increase in weekly mileage and training.
Huddle is a two-time Olympian who set the American 10,000m record at the 2016 Olympics in 30:13.17. She is the current national champion in the 5,000m and 10,000m and will be making her marathon debut at the New York City Marathon on November 6, 2016. Her success has been attributed to discipline and a methodical approach to training and racing.
“I’m very excited to partner with Addaday,” shared Huddle. “Their tools are fantastic and this buildup has reminded me it is essential to dedicate time each day pre and post run to work out stiff muscles and imbalances.”
Huddle joins Addaday’s elite athlete team that includes marathon runners Kara Goucher and Deena Kastor, ultrarunner Timothy Olson and fellow distance runner Chelsea Sodaro.
“We have been very impressed with Molly’s dedication to competing with the best in the world and are honored to support her in this next phase of her career,” said Vic Addaday. “We wish her the best of luck and will be cheering for her in New York.”
Off the track, Huddle is known for helping create the female runner emoji, which she began advocating for in 2015 and was released with Apple’s iOS 10 update in October 2016.
