Accusplit has become an official marketing partner of the PGA TOUR and has created a customized pedometer-based activity wellness program to coincide with the agreement.
Through the four-year agreement, Accusplit becomes the “Official Pedometer of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour.” It is marketing several models of pedometers that are co-branded with the TOUR.

“This is a relationship that not only partners the TOUR with the leader in this industry, but focuses on a very essential part of our sport,” said Tom Wade, PGA TOUR Chief Marketing Officer. “Whether it's our players and their caddies, the walking scorers and hundreds of other volunteers, or our fans, walking is a way of life on the PGA TOUR. Our athletes typically walk more than four miles on a daily basis, often on hilly terrain and in all kinds
of weather, to compete in golf tournaments.”

Accusplit is introducing From Tee to Green, an “18-hole” wellness program that is being launched through The Sports Authority. Outlined in a booklet that is packaged with PGA TOUR-branded pedometers, each hole provides activity information and suggestions for a healthier life. It coincides with Accusplit's 10,000 Steps A Day, a walking wellness program introduced by President W. Ron Sutton.
