Accell North America (ANA) names Larry Pizzi to the role of SVP of sales and marketing for the companyʼs Independent Bicycle Dealer (IBD) business. The new role calls for Pizzi to focus on ANA's entire IBD brand portfolio, Raleigh, SBS, Lapierre and Redline, while integrating e‐bike strategies that benefit the channel.

Pizzi will lead ANAʼs broader offering of innovative, new products and brands – including e-bikes – to the U.S. IBD channel. He continues to serve as president of Currie Technologies, a California company acquired by ANA in 2012 that distributes e-bikes under its own IZIP and eFLOW brands and provides support for ANA's e-bike brands and dealers.

“We are proud to welcome Larry into his new role as it is a critical position within ANAʼs leadership team, completely focused on enabling profitable partnerships for the IBD,” said Chris Speyer, CEO of ANA. “Larry brings great experience from the wholesale and retail side of the IBD channel in his career and is a champion of the dealer, and I look forward to great things for our Raleigh and SBS businesses moving forward under his leadership.”

ANAʼs leadership is actively involved in furthering the growth of the IBD, with Speyer serving on the People for Bikes (PFB) board and Pizzi serving on the Bicycle Products Suppliers Association (BPSA) board, which underscores ANAʼs commitment for excellence in bicycle retail and bike category growth.

“My career in this great industry has come full circle, considering the fact that my first job with a brand after serving the industry as an IBD in the 1980ʼs and early 1990ʼs, was with the one and only Raleigh Bicycles,” Pizzi said. “Iʼm now able to bridge my manufacturer and retail career experience into leading ANAʼs commercial IBD strategy and I am privileged to once again support Raleigh and ANAʼs other leading-edge IBD brands.”
