Academy Sports + Outdoors will be holding grand-opening festivities for new stores in Buford, GA and Richmond, TX on September 21.
The Buford store will be located at 3720 Buford Drive. Opening festivities include appearances by the Atlanta Braves’ Heavy Hitters drumline and ATL Breakers, master angler Darren Gallaher and the Harlem Globetrotters. The opening will also include celebratory grand opening shopping spree event with 20 youth from Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.
The Buford store opening will also include meet-and-greets with Skechers, Maui Jim, Lew’s pro staff, Salt Life, Igloo and Marucci; and kids’ fishing.
The Richmond store will open at 19150 W. Bellfort St. The opening includes a celebratory grand opening shopping spree event with 10 youth from Boys & Girls Club of Richmond-Rosenberg with special appearance by Houston Texans’ all-pro wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins. It also includes meet-and-greets with Adidas, Brooks Running, Igloo, Lew’s pro staff, Under Armour, Maui Jim, Columbia and many more vendors; and kids’ fishing.
Both openings will include BrisketU BBQ tips, demos and free samples.
