Academy Sports + Outdoor opened its first store in Ardmore, OK, located at 1605 12th Avenue NW. The store is approximately 63,000 square feet and brings more than 60 new jobs to the community.
“We cannot wait to open our 13th store in Oklahoma with a new and convenient location in Ardmore,” said Sam Johnson, Academy Sports + Outdoors’ executive vice president of retail operations. “Whether you’re out fishing on Lake Murray or hitting the practice fields, Academy makes it easier for everyone to enjoy more sports and outdoor fun at a great value.”
Prior to the grand opening, the new store partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Red River Valley to donate $100 shopping sprees to 30 local children in the Ardmore community. The store also donated $2,000 both to the Ardmore Police Department and the Ardmore Fire Department.
Academy has more than 250 locations.
