VF Corporation has named Stephen Dull as Vice President – Strategy, a new position. He will report to Mackey J. McDonald, VF’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Dull has also been named a member of VF’s Operating Committee. His responsibilities will include the identification of long-term strategic growth initiatives and brand development.
Dull has over 20 years of experience in building brand value. He has held senior positions at both Accenture and McKinsey & Company, where he worked with numerous Fortune 50 clients on brand building, business development and marketing strategy. Most recently, Dull was the Lead Partner for Accenture’s Brand Strategy Practice and its High Performance Business Marketing Initiative, where he developed marketing, sales and brand strategies for consumer products companies ranging from food, retail, financial services and electronics. He is recognized as a leader on brand and marketing decision systems, and is a trustee of the Marketing Science Institute.
From 1988 to 1997, Dull served in several positions at McKinsey & Company. For example, he led client teams in building consumer insight, new product development and other growth issues, and started and led that firm’s B2B marketing center.
Prior to his work at Accenture and McKinsey, Dull worked at The Pillsbury Company on a diverse set of top consumer brands.
Dull holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Science from Michigan State University and a M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Michigan.
The Company also announced that Jeff Kuster who has been serving since March 2004 as Vice President – Strategy Integration, has been named Vice President – Business Operations for VF’s International Intimates division. Kuster, who will be based in Barcelona, Spain, will be working to refine and execute VF’s international intimates growth plans and strategies. He will report to Pere Prat, President of VF International Intimates. Previously, from February 2002 to 2004, Kuster was Vice President – Marketing & Strategic Planning for VF Imagewear, Inc.
Prior to joining VF Corporation, Kuster spent five years with McKinsey & Company in a variety of consulting assignments. Kuster’s international experience also includes several years spent with both Medecins Sans Frontieres and the Peace Corps. He holds a BA in Economics and Management & International Relations from Beloit College, and a M.B.A. and M.P.P., both from the University of Chicago.
