Sport Obermeyer is pleased to announce the promotion of two long-time, dedicated Obermeyer employees, Barbara Owen to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Kathy Buzbee to Vice President of Merchandising and Design.

Bill Post, President of Sport Obermeyer, is delighted to make the announcement, “The promotions of Kathy Buzbee and Barbara Owen are in recognition of their contributions to Sport Obermeyer and their untiring dedication to the company and their positions. Both promotions are well deserved and well earned.”

Barbara Owen previously served as the company’s Director of Sales and Marketing. One of the longest-employed Obermeyer employees, her role within the company has evolved and grown over the last 22 years, since she started in April of 1982.

Kathy Buzbee, previously the Executive Director of Merchandising and Design, has been with the company for over ten years, since March of 1994. In addition to her promotion to Vice President, Kathy has also been invited to sit on the Board of Directors of Sport Obermeyer. According to Post, “Kathy’s perspective and insight will be valuable in facing future challenges at Obermeyer and in the snow sport industry.”
