Patagonia has acquired a 7.87-acre site, at 5301 N. Ventura Ave. in Ventura, CA, according to report by the Ventura County Star.
The site formerly housed the former Brooks Institute, which specialized in photography, filmmaking and other visual arts. “Erin Brockovich” was filmed on part of the property.
The campus features eight building, including classrooms, administrative offices, sound stages and warehouses, according to the report.
The move comes as Patagonia last year had sought to tear down its existing two-story, 16,000-square-foot building at Santa Clara and Olive streets and replace it with a four-story, 49,000-square-foot building.
