Nike announced Tuesday it would continue its endorsement deal with Tiger Woods despite the golfer’s DUI arrest over Memorial Day weekend.

A Nike spokesperson told media outlets “there is no change to its relationship” with Woods. The famed golfer said he had incurred an “unexpected reaction” to prescription drugs and the incident was not alcohol-related.

Nike, which signed Woods in 1996, had stood out for continuing to endorse the 14-time major winner following his 2009 sex scandal. Gatorade, AT&T, Accenture and Tag Heuer dropped him at the time.

Woods signed a new endorsement deal in 2013 with Nike. Nike stopped making golf equipment last year and Woods has since reached deals with TaylorMade for clubs and Bridgestone for balls.  TaylorMade and Bridgestone as well as Wood’s other sponsors, including Rolex, Monster Energy and UpperDeck haven’t commented since Wood’s DUI arrest.
